BankRows

For Standard Bank statements

Standard Bank statement PDF to Excel.

Turn Standard Bank PDF statements into Excel, CSV or OFX — converted in your browser, with every row checked against the running balance.

  • Never uploaded. Runs on your device — works with Wi-Fi off.
  • Balance-checked. Every row is proven against the running balance.
  • Import-ready. Excel, CSV, Xero / QuickBooks / Sage CSV, OFX, QIF.

Tips for Standard Bank statements

BankRows finds the date, details, debit, credit, fee and balance columns wherever they sit on the page, so layouts with the date on the right are fine. Service fees shown on the same line become their own transaction in the export, so your books match the bank.

How it works

  1. 1

    Drop your PDFs

Download statements from online banking and drop them in. Password-protected? Enter the password; it never leaves your device.

  2. 2

We read and check every row

BankRows reads the statement's layout — dates, descriptions, money in and out — and checks each transaction against the running balance.

  3. 3

    Download a clean file

Excel, CSV, or an import file for Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Wave or Quicken. Combine a year of statements into one.

Why not just paste it into an AI chatbot?

Your statement is private

Chatbots send your file to their servers. BankRows never receives it — conversion happens inside your browser.

Chatbots can skip or invent rows

On long statements it's easy for an AI to drop or misread a line without telling you. BankRows proves every row against the balance.

A year at once

Drop twelve statements and get one combined, sorted file in seconds — no copy-pasting, no prompts.

Real import files

Proper .xlsx, OFX and accounting CSVs that your software accepts first time — not text you have to clean up.

Questions

What happens to service fees?

When a statement deducts a fee on the same line as a transaction, the export lists the fee as a separate transaction — so balances and totals match the bank exactly.

Is my statement uploaded anywhere?

No. The free preview converts the PDF inside your browser — the file never leaves your device, and it keeps working with Wi-Fi switched off. The desktop app goes further: it never connects to the internet at all.

What does “balance-checked” mean?

Most statements print a running balance. BankRows checks that every transaction moves the balance by exactly its amount. If a line had been skipped or misread, the numbers wouldn’t add up — and that row is flagged for you to look at.

Will it work with my bank?

BankRows reads the layout of the statement instead of relying on a fixed template per bank, so it handles most text-based PDF statements — bank accounts and credit cards, in most currencies and date formats. The preview is free: you’ll see your own statement converted and checked before you pay anything.

Can it read scanned or photographed statements?

Not yet. It needs a text-based PDF — the kind you download from online banking or your banking app. If you only have a paper copy, most banks let you download past statements online.

What about password-protected PDFs?

Enter the password when asked. It’s used only in your browser to open the file.

What do I get for $9?

BankRows for Windows — a native Windows 10/11 app with unlimited statements and rows, every export format and combined files, running completely offline. You get the download straight after checkout and in your receipt email, plus free updates.

Is there a Mac version?

Not yet — BankRows is a native Windows app. On a Mac you can still use the free preview on this website, which runs in any browser.

Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is it safe?

That message appears for new apps from small developers who haven’t bought a code-signing certificate. Click “More info”, then “Run anyway”. The app never connects to the internet, so your statements stay on your computer.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — within 14 days, no questions asked. Just reply to your purchase receipt.
